Some people grieve their pandemic losses via meditation or prayer or … some sort of healthy route.
Some people choose self-destructive behaviors. Or numbing oneself via food or exercise or alcohol or drugs.
Have I tried all these? [tenderly places finger on your lips] Shhhhh. Shhhhh. Let’s not talk about that.
But I think the most effective coping mechanism thus far has idiocy involving Voice Memos and audio-editing software (Audacity, if you’re curious) and gently — lovingly, really — poking fun at public radio conventions.
It is with that brief intro that I put my latest idiocy out into the universe. (“Idiocy” may be too self-deprecating, really. It’s also a tribute to my late grandmas, as well as my dear friends who have cruelly left DC during the pandemic.) (But it is also at times very silly. Even stupid. And that’s how I wanted it.)
Anyway. Don’t judge the messy cuts. I’m bored and losing my mind.
